Netsis Efforts in Social Responsibility

The local ERP market leader Netsis continues with its “Sustainable Education Project of IT Enterprises toward Information Society,” which it initiated in the context of its corporate responsibility campaign. The project aims at contributing to the education of students as qualified individuals who can produce ideas on IT solutions, design software. In the framework of the project, Netsis employees give courses primarily in computer and industrial sciences departments, and also business administration and economics departments of state universities, and vocational high schools for trade and computes sciences. Since the beginning of the project with the start of the school year in September 2004, the course topics that were covered are “General Definitions,” “Project Management,” “Cost Advantages and Immeasurable Advantages,” “Determining the Data Model,” and Diagrams of the Existing System.” Almost one hundred Netsis employees continue to give courses on voluntary basis in the framework of the project. The project, which Netsis General Manager Murat Ihlamur also personally lectures, includes vocational school like Balçova Ticaret Meslek Lisesi, Göztepe Anadolu Meslek Lisesi, Konak Halk Eğitim Merkezi, Ömer Zeybek Ticaret Meslek Lisesi, and Adnan Menderes University, İzmir İleri Teknoloji Enstitüsü, Ege University Vocational Training School, Konya Selçuk University, Dokuz Eylül University, and Ege University. Among the seminar topics given by Netsis executives are “Netsis and Career,” “Making Career in the IT field,” “Marketing Management.” Netsis that was founded with hundred-percent Turkish capital in 1991, targets to expand the programme to the schools in İstanbul and Ankara in the second phase of the project and then further countrywide. The project is open to participation and waits for the contributions of all companies and non-profit organizations that are active in the Turkish IT sector.
